AUSTIN, Texas — Teachers, parents and school leaders are now able to learn about a new free online class for elementary school children.

The Texas Education Agency has set up a web site to let parents, teachers, principals and school administrators learn about the program.

The free online program for elementary students called Teach for America has been offered for more than a year.

It gives teachers, teachers aides, and administrators an opportunity to get hands-on experience with classroom management and online learning through a hands-free device.

Teach for America helps teachers and students achieve more.

Texas’ public schools have been ranked as one of the top states in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

Since its inception in 2014, Teach for American has given more than 6,000 teachers, aides and administrators access to more than 10,000 hours of video content.

Teach For America, which provides tutoring and mentoring for elementary teachers and other educators, has received over $100 million in federal and state grants to date.

The Texas Department of Education says it is offering the class to help educate students about the digital world.
